The heart and soul of Chucky, Mr. Brad Dourif

Child's Play
In 1988 writers Tom Holland , John Lafia & Don Mancini brought us a film about a possessed doll that made a big hit. This movie came off like it should have been silly, but actually offers a healthy dose of jumps and shudders.
Young Andy Barkely really wants a Good Guy Doll, the hottest and most expensive doll on the market. Turns out his most sought after present will soon become an unshakable emeny. But let's not get too far ahead. Local cop (played by Chris Sarandon of Fright Night) tracks down and shoots Charles Lee Ray (played by Brad Dourif) in a closed toy store. With mortal wounds Charles knows he's going to die. But before he does he transfers his soul into a Good Guy Doll. His body is found dead and the case is closed.
By fate Andy's mother purchases this doll, hoping to bring joy and hapiness. Instead, an array of accidents and murders ensues with one common denomiator: Andy Barkley. Through the movie Andy reveals that the doll 'Chucky' is really Charles Lee Ray. But, of course, nobody believes him. That's until his mother threatens to throw the doll in the fire. It's from here we are introduced to Chucky, the killer doll.
With the help of the cop that killed Chucky, Andy's mother seeks proof of the power that Chucky possesses. It's a wicked race to the finish as Chucky learns that his only way to get back to being human is to transer his soul into the first person he revealed his true identity to. Namely Andy. Will he succeed and become the first six year old serial killer? You've got to check out this fantastic horror flick!

Child's Play II
After Chucky rocked the silver screen, demand for a sequel swelled and was answered. Child's Play II extends on the adventures of Andy Barkley and his killer doll. When the manufacturer of the Good Guy dolls get word of Andy Barkley's killer doll, they pull a publicity stunt. They remake the doll to show that there is nothing wrong with it. But guess who still resides in the plastic shell? You guessed it! Our favourite Lakeshore Strangler. And he still wants out of that body.
After the events in the first movie, it seems Andy's mother cracks. Now Andy has to live in a foster home. Eager to get on with his childhood, Andy tries to push the images of Chucky out of his mind so he can lead a normal life. But, he's not so lucky.
After being rebuilt, Chucky takes a golden opportunity to kill a 'suit' and find out where that bastard Barkely kid is. Then he'll continue his quest to transfer his soul into the child. Meanwhile, Andy begins to suspect somethings wrong when a goodguy doll keeps popping up wherever he goes, until Chucky finally confronts him in private and lets him know that he'll never be safe. Andy's foster parents know of his background. But they believe the story to be scandellous lies (who would believe a doll came to life and tried to kill it's owner, anyway?). Through their ignorance they become fodder for the killer doll on his quest for flesh. Andy must turn to an unlikely hero, his foster sister for support. Together, they will lead Chucky to the GoodGuy factory where they will use every means possible to destroy him for good. Will they succeed in destroying the unholy playtoy? Remember, GoodGuys are friends 'till the end. Heidi-HO!!!

Child's Play III
Eight years after Chucky's last escapade, the makers of the Good Guy Dolls feel that all of the bad publicity is gone. It's time to make more Good Guy Dolls! And we'll begin by melting the remains of Chucky down and using it to build a new doll. And like the pheonix which rises from it's own ashes, Chucky's back and he's pissed!
After some quick investigating, Chucky finds that the Barkely kid is now sixteen and residing at a military base. The perfect place to create some havoc. How he does it, I have no idea. But somehow Chucky manages to mail himself to the artilary base. His mission: Infiltration. Chucky will befriend a young cadet that will lead him to Andy. In the meantime, we get a couple of nice surprises during our stay. The base's sadistic barber is played by Hellraiser's Andrew Robinson. Everything goes wrong for him when he tries to give Chucky a buzz. "Presto! You're bald!!"
Andy soon learns that his life is in danger again and he turns to some trustworthy peers for support. Casualties start flying as Chucky replaces pellets with live ammo before a paint war, then its on to the climax. Will Barkely finally fall to the killer doll? Watch the movie!!

Child's Play IV: Bride of Chucky
The fourth and latest installment in the Chucky series. The Barkely case is closed. I suppose the writers thought it was time for something different. In this film we watch as a young cop snags something from evidence. Curiosity killed the cat and this cop is no exception. As he peeks in the bag his throat is cut and we are introduced to Tiffany (played by the sexy Jennifer Tilly). A blonde sadist who turns out to be an old girlfriend of Charles', back when he was alive anyway. What's in the bag? It's Chucky!! All mashed up from last film but nothing a clever seamstress can't fix.
Meanwhile, we have a young couple: Jesse and Jade. Their adolescent relationship becomes too hot to handle for Jade's stepfather is the town sherrif (played by John Ritter). And he'll do anything in his power to keep the two love birds apart. Meanwhile, Tiffany revives Chucky through an incantation, hoping that they could get back together. When he comes to he laughs in her face so she locks him up with his own little dolly to play with. Revenge is sweet!! With a sadistic plan in mind, Chucky kills Tiffany and brings her back as a wedding doll. The plastic duo begins.
Now that both of them are dolls, Chucky comes up with a plan. When his body was buried it had an amulet. This amulet has the power to transfer their souls to another mortal shell and his plan is to use Jesse and Jade's bodies. When Jesse and Jade leave to elope, they decide to accept Tiffany's offer to deliever two dolls (Chucky and Tiffany) to Hackensack, Ney Jersey, where Chucky's body is located. Along the way, the plastic duo commit murder, kidnapping and other mayhem. Not to mention Chucky gets 'lucky'. Soon Jesse and Jade are followed by a string of terror and their little trip becomes a nightmare as the dolls show their true colours. Will Chucky and Tiffany complete their task and receieve the young lovers' bodies? Or are they doomed to spend eternity as plastic lovers?
Surprisingly, this fourth installment was the most profitable Child's Play yet. Chucky is by no means finished. Look for the upcoming Child's Play V: Seed of Chucky.
